MUSIC VIDEO CLIP TREATMENT

Song selected	Pop State of Mind 2014 (40 Song Mashup) - DJ Dreamport (Our Party)
Type of clip (Highlight your choice/s) performance / narrative / collage Concept for clip Explain what narrative/images the clip will contain	performance. concept is that we are each playing a different celebrity and are going to mimic their different video clips, but have heaps of singers and different music videos mashed into one.
Message What message will your clip contain or what is its purpose? Style What look and feel will your clip have?	the message that we are trying to convey is that not everything has to make sense and have a point, which is evident in our song choice.  we want to achieve a free and interesting type of feel to our clip, and want it to look really entertaining so no one gets bored.
Technical codes Explain the ideas you have about camera work, transition devices, lighting, special effects, framing and composition	we really need to focus on having interesting and entertaining transitions so we are coming up with a range of different transitions. For example, an idea we have come up with is zooming the camera up on someone’s eye then zoom out of a different person’s eye.
Audio codes What is the song about and how do the lyrics relate to the visuals you have selected? Will you be adding an additional sound?	the song doesn't really make sense because it is a mashup of heaps of different songs, but the different songs used will relate to the singers specific music video for their songs.
Pace What sort of pace does your song have and how will this be reflected and created in your clip? Written codes If you are using any written codes, what text will you use? What is its significance? Symbolic codes Will there be any symbols in your clip and what will they be? Will you repeat any images or use a motif? How will the symbolism you have used contribute to the message of your clip?	the pace of our video clip is quite fast, but towards the start and end slows down. This will be reflected in the quick edits we will use.
Key elements of mise-en-scene to be used Explain the settings needed and outline key props and costumes needed	For settings we are using the green screen so we can capture almost the exact backgrounds as the music videos. Key props and costumes are just the different clothes. For me a main one was paint to paint my face to look like lady gaga.
Appeal What things in your clip do you think will appeal to a youth audience?	the fact that we are using multiple popular songs and many well known celebrities makes our video clip appeal to a youth audience.
